Penn State Basketball falls one Shot Short in 62-61 loss to Nebraska

Lions’ bubble burst?
Pretty much since the second Wisconsin game, Penn State has been ice cold offensively.
Even the announcers have seem to gone away from talking about Jim Ferry was Chambers’ “Offensive Coordinator”.
Although the Lions were able to find wins without scoring (like Maryland), it’s just not enuogh to consistently win games in this conference.
Most of the Lions ** three pointers were good shots too but boy they just aren’t making them.
Wheeler missing four first half three pointers (although all were open shots) isn’t good enough. Myreon Jones 7-of-19 from the field and three-of-eight from beyond and continuing to slump from the free throw stripe isn’t good enough.
Remember when Sessoms could create off the dribble? Trent Buttrick is not good enough to play in this conference. And I have no idea what happened to the strong defensive efforts we’ve seen this season.
Penn State consistently got burned on back-doors, allowing the easiest Cornhuskers layups and dunks. Even Jamari was getting burned. While it’s great to see the Lions not fouling on defense, they seemed to have lost their spark.
Sigh…Are the Lions drawing dead to dance? No.
Will they still be on Lunardi’s radar tomorrow? Probably not.
PSU could squeak out a spot in the “Next Four Out” but now they have a “bad loss” on the resume.
The Lions need to win four out of five. I guess that’s why they call it a #climb.
