Myles Dread rings the bell

Coming off missing the potential game-winner in East Lansing, Coach Jim Ferry inserted Myles Dread into the starting lineup over slumping Seth Lundy.

While still one dimensional on offense (only one shot from inside the arc), Dread did his job, going four-of-nine from three.

Far more importantly to me, however, is Dread’s defense. He continues to guard players bigger than him, force turnovers and rebound strong.

Offensively Dread’s limited to shooting behind the arc but at this point in his career, he’s providing far more defensively than Seth Lundy and he earned his minutes Sunday.
