6. Indiana

Penn State Football will play host to Indiana in week 5, and by that point we will have already found out a lot about who the Nittany Lions are in 2021.

No doubt, Franklin and company have not forgotten about the controversial loss at the hands of Indiana in week 1 of this past season, and should have a little extra motivation for this one, especially getting to play in the usually friendly confines of Beaver Stadium.

This game mostly boils down to the health of Hoosiers quarterback Michael Pennix who appeared to suffer an achilles injury later in the season in 2020. Pennix was leading the conference in passing at the time of his injury, and Indiana is no where near as explosive or dangerous with Utah transfer Jack Tuttle under center.

The Nittany Lions are going to want this one despite the loss last season, did out play the Hoosiers and should have come away with a win, even after turning it over three times.

This will be potentially the third or fourth ranked opponent Penn State will have played, only five weeks into the season.
