10. Rutgers

The Nittany Lions will host Rutgers in the final home game of the 2021 season.

The implications in this one will depend on how Penn State Football fared in their first 10 games to this point, but could be a good opponent for Senior Day at Beaver Stadium.

Rutgers is building under head coach Greg Schiano and showed vast improvement in 2020 form the year prior, going 3-6 and loosing three games by a touchdown or less, including triple overtime loss to Michigan, a game they dominated for almost all 60 minutes.

Penn State Football won an ugly, bad weather game, 23-7 in Piscataway last season. It sort of ha the feeling of, if Rutgers can’t beat this current Penn State Football squad, 1-5 at that time, in New Jersey, when will they?

The Scarlet Knights always play the Nittany Lions close it seems, and don’t be surprised if this game is closer then it should be on the scoreboard. However, it is not a game Franklin and his staff have to much to worry about.
