11. Illinois

Penn State Football got a glimpse of Illinois in the 2020 season finale, handling the Illini 56-21.

Illinois will be led by new head coach Brett Beilema who is an experienced head coach and is familiar with the Big Ten, however Illinois has a long way to go before they are a real threat to the Nittany Lions.

This game also comes off a bye week for Penn State Football, however the one thing Franklin must ensure they avoid is looking ahead to the following weeks opponent; Ohio State.

Illinois has some offense to hang it’s hat on and will presumably be led by freshman quarterback Isaiah Williams who had a nice game against them this season, throwing for 120 yards and rushing for 102. He was a headache in the first half until Brent pry’s defense settled in and figured it out.

As long as Franklin has the team focused and ready to play this one, should be easy pickings for Penn State Football here.
