2. Iowa

It seems as if the Big Ten is going to ensure that Iowa and Penn State Football clash every year as this bi-annual trip to Kinnick Stadium seems to roll around all to often for the Nittany Lions.

Last season marked the first time Iowa beat the Nittany Lions under James Franklin, however the previous three seasons’s games could have gone either way. Trace McSorley and company survived Kinnick in 2017, winning on the final play and hushing a frenzied crowd. In 2018 it was  a late game goal line stand that went Penn State’s way.

2019 was once again a prime time kick in Iowa City, as it always seems to be when Penn State Football travels there. They eeked out a close, low scoring game thanks to some crucial turnoves by the Hawkeyes.

Last season Iowa came to Happy Valley and manhandled the Nittany Lions in a game quarterback Will Levis started, but did not finish. The Iowa defense once again figures to be stout in 2021, and off the heels of winning six straight to end this past season, Iowa certainly has some momentum going into next season.

It is always a hold your breath type of game when the Nittany Lions travel to Kinnick, expect nothing less in 2021.
