Way too early 2021 Big Ten power rankings | Where does Penn State Football stand?

Minnesota started the season slow, however the Gophers did win two of their final three games, losing the finale to rival Wisconsin 20-17 in overtime.

The Gophers finished the season 3-3 and will have redshirt senior Tanner Morgan once again under center for head coach PJ Fleck. Morgan took a step back with offensive coordinator moving over to Penn State football last season in the same role.

The offense gets a boost with star running back Mohamed Ibrahim announcing he will be back next fall after leasing the team with 1,076 yards and 15 touchdowns behind the Gophers massive offensive line.

Their plus 40 margin of victory is most likely an indicator they are better than their 3-3 record ad should be back to competing for the Big Ten West title in 2021.

They will have to replace leading receiver Rashad Bateman next year, and improve on the defensive side of the ball but it is hard to not like what PJ Fleck is doing in Minnesota.
