This time last season Rutgers would have been dead last on this list, undoubtedly the worst team in the Big Ten.

However, it seems with Greg Schiano back at the helm in Piscataway, the Scarlet Knights have some life in their program, and could be a team worthy of buying stock in, as they look like a program on the rise in the conference.

Rutgers did only finish 3-6 on the season, however, the Scarlet Knights lost a few games they probably should have won, including a three overtime thriller at home to Michigan, a game they led for almost all 60 minutes and let slip away.

Senior quarterback Noah Vedral announced he will be back for his fifth year next season and that is big news for Rutgers, as Vedral threw for over 1,200 yards and solidified that position, one in which they had struggled mightily at in previous years.

Along with Vedral, leading rusher Isaih Pacheco and leading receiver Bo Melton will be back next fall, also showing the players have bought into what Schiano is selling and are believing in this program.

Rutgers is going to get a signature win soon enough in the Big Ten.
