Jordan Woods

Woods enters the portal from Florida International University as a redshirt senior after playing in only four games last season.

Woods played in 29 games at FIU seeing most of that action in 2018 and 2019, recording 19 tackles, two tackles for loss and no sacks during his career.

The Citra, Florida native is a former three star recruit coming out of high school in the 2016 class, and was originally committed to Georgie Tech before transferring to FIU.

Woods, six-foot-four and 275 pounds, has prototypical power five size to play at this level and be productive for Penn State football. He would only have one year of remaining eligibility but would presumably be looking to prove his worth at a bigger program and show NFL scouts what he could do at this level.

With a lack of proven production and not having played power five football he represents a risk for Franklin and his staff, however he has been around college football and if things don’t work out, he would be gone after the 2021 season.
