Christian Veilleux

As the quarterback in the class, it’s important to get on campus as soon as possible and learn the playbook.

Veilleux will be learning a new playbook than the one he thought he would be when he first committed to Penn State Football, as Mike Yurcich is now the Nittany Lions’ offensive coordinator.

With Micah Bowens transferring, Veilleux will at worst be Penn State’s fourth string quarterback to open the season, and with no real stability at the position, fourth string could become second string or even the starter in a hurry.

Veilleux is talented, and with Yurcich mentoring him, he has a chance to be the future starter at Penn State. The extra time will serve him well and actually puts him on equal footing with the other quarterbacks when it comes to learning the system.
