No. 2 Penn State football’s defense stops Michigan on 4th and Inches

Penn State football was 0-5 and headed to Ann Arbor, a house of horrors for the program lately, in search of much needed victory.

The Nittany Lions were the better team all game long, taking a 27-17 lead on the heels of a 12 play, 75 yard touchdown drive. However, at 0-5, and with a history of blowing double digit leads in the fourth quarter, Penn State fans could feel the heartbreak coming.

The Wolverines begin driving, bringing up a third and two at Penn State’s 38 yard line. A run for yard plus brought up a fourth and inches. Michigan quarterback Joe Milton attempted to sneak it, and the defense was all over, stuffing it for even a loss of half a yard, giving Penn State football the ball back and all but icing their first victory.

It was clutch in so many ways and for the first time all season we saw a pulse out of this team, and a passion from the sidelines to finally put one in the win column.
