What should Penn State Football expect from Will Levis?
Not His First Rodeo
If Levis was to get the start on Saturday, it wouldn’t be the first time he’s started for the Nittany Lions.
Levis started Penn State’s regular season finale last season against Rutgers, due to an injury to Clifford.
It was an ugly 27-6 win for the Nittany Lions, who looked rather disinterested in the opponent throughout. But, Levis went 8-14 for just 81 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Levis was Penn State’s leading rusher with 107 yards on 17 carries.
Levis also sparked the Nittany Lions against Ohio State in 2019. Down 21-0, and with Clifford suffering the injury that kept him out of the Rutgers game, Levis was called upon.
Levis rallied the team to score 17 straight points, but threw a costly pick that cost Penn State the chance to win.
The redshirt sophomore was also the spark this past Saturday against Nebraska. The Nittany Lions were trailing 24-3 when he took over under center and the final was 30-23.
Levis only completed 14-31 passes, but he did have 280 total yards of offense and clearly motivated the team, on both sides of the ball.
