Wisconsin -4.5 vs Michigan

The Big Ten slate Saturday culminates with a Saturday Night, ABC primetime matchup in Ann Arbor between the Wolverines and Wisconsin Badgers.

Michigan is coming off the first consecutive losses in the Jim Harbuagh era, as they host the  Badgers.

Wisconsin is a bit of an enigma since they have only played one game due to covid-19 cancelling there others. Wisconsin looked did week one against Illinois, dominating all facets of the game en route to a 45-7 win. Sophomore quarterback Graham Mertz was nearly flawless, completing 20 of 21 passes for 248 yards and five touchdowns. That does not bode well for a Michigan defense that gave up 460 yards last week to Indiana, 342 of them through the air.

The Wolverines don’t have the dudes at corner to play defensive coordinator Dom Brown’s style of defense; attacking, man-to-man press coverage.

Not only have the Wolverines given up 665 yards passing the last two weeks, they have committed 18 penalties, many of them on the secondary. This seems like a rebuilding year in Ann Arbor, potentially making the seat a little warm under Harbaugh. Wisconsin will throw it enough to win, extending the Michigan losing streak to three. Wisconsin, 31-24.

The Pick: Wisconsin – 4.5
