5. Lance Dixon

The former 5-star got his first career start last season due to Jesse Luketa’s first half suspension last week. Dixon recorded five tackles against Ohio State.

Although all of Penn State’s linebackers are expected to return next season, situations like what happened with Luketa can occur, so it’s smart to build as much depth as possible.

Luketa and Ellis Brooks will move on after the 2021 season, putting Dixon into a starting role, so the redshirt freshman should look to get as much experience as possible.

Penn State rotates its linebackers plenty, so that shouldn’t be much of a problem.
