4. Hakeem Beamon

Antonio Shelton is the only defensive tackle expected to leave after the season.

Although that sounds good for depth, Penn State still needs someone to fill the void left by Shelton. Hakeem Beamon has a chance to be that guy.

He started the season on the second team, but fell to third on the latest depth chart. He has the some of the highest upside of any defensive tackle on the roster. With that said, as a redshirt freshman, he still has ways to go in his development.

Playing meaningful downs would go a long way to help that development, especially if he’s expected to be counted on next year.
