Wide Receiver

This is an interesting position, because depending how the 2021 class shapes up, this could either jump to the top of the “need” board or be taken off of it.

That depends on if Lonnie White Jr. picks baseball or not and if Penn State takes a third receiver before the cycle ends. Penn State could end up with three in that class, or one, most likely two.

Penn State already has a 4-star commit in Kaden Saunders and is in great position with many top targets.

By 2022, Jahan Dotson, Cam Sullivan-Brown and Daniel George will be gone, add in that it’s unclear if John Dunmore will return to the team, Penn State will need some depth.

The Nittany Loins took five receivers in 2020, two of them, KeAndre Lambert-Smith and Parker Washington, will be seeing action this season. The other three are considered projects.

Penn State will add another two receivers in the 2022 class, but they may need more considering what happens with John Dunmore and the 2021 class.

Names to know include Mehki Flowers, Darrius Clemons, Anthony Ivey, Andre Greene Jr. and Peter Kikwata.
