Michigan State vs. Penn State, Dec. 12, Kickoff time: TBD

The battle for the Land Grant Trophy. Back where it belongs.

Penn State-Michigan State always felt like the ideal Big Ten counterpart to The Game, and this year’s game might have immense implications for the Nittany Lions’ path to the Big Ten Championship Game.

If this season plays out as we project, with Penn State upsetting the Buckeyes in Week 2, and falling to Michigan at the Big House, the Nittany Lions will likely be in a mood to run up the score on the Spartans (as they typically are), particularly to score style points. Should Ohio State knock off Michigan and then Penn State follows up by taking care of their own business, they’ll be playing in Indianapolis for the Big Ten crown for the second time in five seasons.

The Nittany Lions hold up their end, in blowout fashion, sending seniors like Friermuth, Brown, Castro-Fields, Ellis Brooks, Shaka Toney, and Jonathan Sutherland out in style.

Prediction: 40-20 WIN
