Week 7: Penn State at Rutgers, Dec. 5, Kickoff time: TBD

Nothing tests the mettle of a college football team quite like how it responds to a loss. Fortunately for Penn State, should the Nittany Lions trip up against Michigan, a date with Rutgers follows.

Greg Schiano has elevated the Scarlet Knights’ recruiting this cycle, but Rutgers is quite a ways away from being able to field a team capable of competing with the likes of Ohio State, Penn State, or Michigan.

The past couple seasons have seen Penn State sleepwalk through their game against the Knights and still win by double-digits. Last season, Penn State leisurely wrapped up the regular season with a 27-6 victory, with little to play for with two losses already on the resume.

This year’s matchup in Piscataway should be much in the same, except for the Nittany Lions’ Big Ten Championship hopes still being very much alive.

Prediction: 34-3 WIN
