A+. . . . WIDEOUTS AND TIGHT ENDS

I couldn’t wait to talk about the wide receivers and tight ends because of how ridiculous of a game they had. K.J Hamler led the way with six receptions for 108 yards and a touchdown. However, this wasn’t just a touchdown for K.J Hamler; it was the touchdown of the season for Penn State.

The more Penn State gets K.J Hamler the ball, the more good things are going to happen. It’s pretty much as simple as that.

It wasn’t only Hamler that made a phenomenal play. Dan Chisena made a ridiculous 40-yard catch while being interfered by the Maryland cornerback. It was the perfect way for Chisena to make up for his 44-yard catch that got called back against Pitt.

Four additional wide receivers caught passes in Friday’s game. Cam Sullivan-Brown had five receptions for 35 yards, and Jahan Dotson had three catches for 20 yards.

Justin Shorter and Isaac Lutz caught one pass each, Shorter’s going for 14 yards, and Lutz’s going for 15.

In terms of the tight ends, Nick Bowers, who was expected to play a big role in the offense this season as a complement to Pat Freiermuth, caught his first two passes of the season for 70 yards and a touchdown. The reception that wasn’t a touchdown went for 55 yards.

Pat Freiermuth had two receptions for 22 yards, while Zach Kuntz had one reception for 10 yards as well.

There’s no doubt that it was a complete game for the wide receivers and tight ends. Not only did they make big plays, but they didn’t drop passes, and they blocked well downfield. It was an absolutely incredible day for this group.
