1. Ricky Slade scores multiple touchdowns

The Penn State backfield had a field day on the ground last week against Idaho. Do you know the famous baseball saying, “everybody hits!”? Well, last week’s game was like that with the running backs except for it was “everybody scores!” Noah Cain, Devyn Ford, Ricky Slade, Journey Brown, heck, even Nick Eury reached the end zone on the ground.

Sure, the opponent wasn’t great, but that doesn’t mean the Lions’ backfield isn’t. We knew heading into the season that this unit was going to be a problem for the opponents and last week they proved that. Unfortunately for their first-stringer, Ricky Slade, he didn’t get too much action.

Don’t expect that to become a trend. While I don’t see the Lions giving Slade any sort of bell-cow duties, I do believe he will get more opportunities to make something happen on Saturday night. He’s got a knack for getting to the end zone. So let’s go with Ricky Slade scoring two touchdowns.
