Breaking down the Penn State depth chart for the Maryland game

Penn State released the depth chart for their season finale clash at Maryland.

Penn State has reached the final game of the regular season. With a win against an injury plagued Maryland team, the Lions will be 10-2 and in good position to secure a really good bowl game.

First things first though — Maryland, Maryland, Maryland.

There are not many changes to this week’s depth chart as it pretty much reflects last week’s in-game. You will notice tight end Nick Bowers replaces Jonathan Holland on the chart. Bowers scored his first career touchdown against Nebraska.

On the injury front, Ryan Bates and Ryan Buchholz were both in pads in last week’s pregame warmups but neither played. Not sure if they make the trip this week. Manny Bowen still seems he is in James Franklin’s doghouse. Finally, Troy Apke was flagged for targeting in the second half against Nebraska so he will miss this week’s first half by rule. Expect Ayron Monroe to start in his place.
