Secondary

Another week another high grade for the secondary. They held both Indiana quarterbacks to a less than 50-percent completion percentage. Furthermore, the passing defense allowed just 175 yards and a lot of that had to do with tight coverage at all spots.

Amani Oruwariye recorded his second interception of the season, while four different DBs managed to break up passes. Christian Campbell did a nice job in coverage along with Grant Haley. Marcus Allen recorded six tackles and forced a fumble as well.

Troy Apke keeps his under-the-radar style intact with a solid four tackle performance. Although he plays in a talented secondary, Apke’s solid play seems to go unnoticed. In a short amount of time, he ranks top five on the team in tackles.

Safety Nick Scott also made his presence known on special teams returning a fumble to the house. Although that’s more special teams-related, he continues to make an impression after moving over from the offensive side of the ball a few years ago.
