Secondary:

This is another unit that desperately showed it missed a star player, this time in the form of safety Jordan Lucas.  The secondary was burned all day, to the tune of 256 yards through the air.

One of the keys coming into the game was to somehow stop or at least slowdown Michigan’s Amara Darboh and Jake Butt.  While neither player went for over 100 yards, they each had a touchdown and close to 70 yards a piece.

It wasn’t the coverage that was so bad, but the tackling.  Penn State’s secondary needs to do nothing but tackling fundamentals this upcoming week in practice.  I lost count how many miss tackles there were during the game by the secondary and Michigan got a lot of extra yards as a result.
