Wide Receivers/Tight Ends

The game at Indiana was maaybe the most underwhelming performance from this normally solid unit. Geno Lewis was the leader with just four catches for 39 yards and he experienced a few drops. Big 10 leader in receptions per game, DaeSean Hamilton, secured just two catches for 33 yards. When those guys don’t even combine for 75 yards, the offense is certainly going to struggle. Jesse James also notched just two receptions for the Nittany Lions. The young guys, Godwin, Blacknall and Gesicki, continue to get involved, but not enough to bump up this grade or make a true impact. The blame isn’t all here though, as Hack certainly didn’t have his best game.
