Special Teams 

Sam Ficken is the only reason this grade isn’t an F. Ficken was clutch in nailing the field goal to send the game to overtime. Ficken also had a solid day kicking off as well. However, the return game was nonexistent and the punting was, well, terrible. Both punters were given a shot, and both failed to flip the field. The Nittany Lions had eight punts as a team and failed to average even 35 yards per punt. They also failed to pin just one of those punts inside the 20. Penn State better figure out something in the punting game because it hasn’t been pretty.
