Linebackers

Linebacker U isn’t what it has been in the past, but it’s still solid. Mike Hull is tied for 9th nationally with 53 total tackles and is averaging over 10 tackles per game (Penn State’s second-leading tackler is Ryan Keiser with 23).

Nyeem Wartman has been reliable and even though Brandon Bell’s stats won’t indicate it, he’s been pretty good in his first year as a starter. Jason Cabinda and Gary Wooten will probably see more time as the season goes on.

This is another unit that is limited due to the scholarship situation, so if these guys can hold up the rest of the season, then the linebacking corp should be in good shape.
