Defensive Line

The defensive line was thought to be a strength for Bob Shoop’s defense and it certainly has been thus far in 2014.

Anthony Zettel has become one of the best defensive players in the Big Ten and Deion Barnes already has as many sacks as he had all last season. Austin Johnson looks like the next big thing in a long line of great Penn State defensive tackles and C.J. Olaniyan’s senior leadership is evident.

For the first time in a long time this unit is operating under a coach whose name isn’t Larry Johnson, but the production and skill level is still the same.
