Despite his impressive final stat line (319 yards, 3 touchdowns), Christian Hackenberg had his fair share of struggles against the Zips. The sophomore QB wasn’t really able to develop a rhythm early on and made a few questionable decisions, twice resulting in interceptions. Hackenberg has certainly showed he has all the tools and has improved from last season, but knock off a few of the questionable decisions and the sky is the limit.

However, that is too be expected from a young quarterback and he proved again how special he can be.

Hack continues to develop a strong rapport with receivers Geno Lewis and DaeSean Hamilton while also knowing he can trust in Jesse James as well.

The stat line looks solid aside from those two picks and so did the young quarterback. Hackenberg has set the bar high for himself and he needs to cut down on the turnovers to meet that bar.

Grade – B-
