Stanford at Notre Dame (-9)

Here we are again.  A 5-0 Notre Dame start, and the “are they back” debate is back in full force.  The Irish can take another step towards silencing the doubters by knocking off a physical Stanford team in South Bend.

Matt – Notre Dame

It took a couple of weeks, but I’m on board with the Irish.  They get better every week, and that defense is going to have them in every game.  Don’t let Stanford’s 54 point outburst against Arizona last week fool you either.  The Cardinal’s offense is very much a work in progress.  I expect the Irish D to dominate this one, and the offense to pull away late to cover.

Tim – Stanford

Notre Dame had a pretty big day against Miami, but I’m not sure their offense is ready to start laying two scores against a defense like Stanford’s. I’ll take Notre Dame for the win, but Stanford keeps it close.

Craig – Notre Dame

Notre Dame is on a roll and Stanford is not the team we thought they were after upsetting USC. Going to ride the hot hand and believe ND wins in double-digit fashion.

Corey – Stanford

I don’t doubt that “the church” is the better team in this one, and will likely win the game.  However, I also recall a few weeks ago when no one gave Stanford a snowballs chance in you know where to cover, let alone beat USC and look what happened.  Again, I like “the church” to win the game outright, but I think Stanford keeps it close enough to cover the 9 point spread.
