Ohio at Penn State (-6)

Penn State won’t appear every week, but it seems only appropriate to include them in what will be one of the most highly anticipated games of Week 1.

Matt – Penn State

This game opened at PSU -15.5, and I would have stayed away at that number.  But as the sanctions were announced and players transferred, the number fell off a cliff.  This PSU team has been waiting nearly 8 months for this, and they will come out fired up with a loud crowd behind them.  That carries PSU to a comfortable win.

Tim – Penn State

Ohio is a very talented team and they have a shot at running the table after Saturday. I just think the emotion in the stadium and the pent up…”energy” from this Penn State team will be too much for the Bobcats.

Craig – Penn State

Despite Ohio being a solid team, I believe the atmosphere will be unlike any we’ve seen and the new philosophies on offense and defense will prove too much. The offense should be able to get into the end zone behind the short pass game of McGloin and Belton-lead rushing attack, while the defense should be able to contain and overwhelm Ohio’s offense with a powerful front 7.

Corey – Penn State

The Nittany Lions and their faithful have been waiting too long for this game.  They will be fired up, and the Bobcats are standing in the way.  Coach O’Brien and the Lions will pick up the first home victory by a coach other than Joe Paterno since November 13, 1965.

Chris – Penn State

Finally!  Football is back at Beaver Stadium, and a fired up Nittany Lions team, and crowd, overwhelm Ohio early.  The points come early and often, and an aggressive PSU defense doesn’t give Ohio the opportunity to get anything going on offense.
