Former Penn State football wide receiver Harrison Wallace III had his second consecutive 100-plus yard game for the Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday against Kentucky. In the 30-23 win, Wallace III had four receptions for 117 yards, averaging 29.3 yards per catch.

In the second quarter on fourth-and-one at Ole Miss' own 44-yard line, the Rebels needed a big-time play to convert and try to cut down the 10-pointnlead the Wildcats had on them. Not only was Wallace III there to get the extra yard, he connected with Ole Miss quarterback Austin Simmons well beyond at the Kentucky 38-yard line.

The play wasn't over yet for the former Nittany Lions. The senior extended it all the way to the Wildcats' one-yard line. While Kentucky's defender tried to get Wallace III down by his feet, he stayed up and was finally tackled just before the end zone.

In 2024, he had his best performance for Penn State out of his three years, recording 46 catches for 720 yards and four touchdowns. He only recorded 100-plus yards in one game as a Nittany Lion and two games with 80-plus yards.

Now as a Rebel in the SEC, he's surpassing his one-game records and on track for a stunning senior season. Between Week 1 and Week 2, he accumulated 247 yards and one touchdown on the 2025 season on nine receptions already. In the absence of Tre Harris, Juice Wells, and Jordan Watkins, Ole Miss secured its top receiver in Wallace III through the Transfer Portal.

This makes him tied for third in the nation for top receiving leaders with SMU's Remello Brinson. Brinson tallied the same number of yards in two more catches, but as the upper hand on Wallace III in scores with three touchdowns. Both are just one yard behind USC's Makai Lemon and barely behind San Jose St.'s Danny Scudero who has 255 yards. It wouldn't be a surprise to see Wallace III take the No. 1 spot at some point in the season, especially if he is averaging more yards per catch than the No. 1 and No. 2 receiving leaders.
