Penn State football's recruitment Class of 2027 remains without quarterback heading into May. As recruits start narrowing down their top schools, setting commitment dates, and scheduling official visits, the Nittany Lions seek out one of the top remaining quarterbacks in the class.

Peter Bourque, a four-star quarterback in the class, is ranked 82nd nationally, seventh in his position room, and first among recruits from Massachusetts, per Rivals Industry Ranking and 247Sports Composite rankings.

At the end of May, the rising high school senior will perform at the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles, Calif. This is the 27th year the event will be held, which hosts the nation's top 20 quarterbacks over a three-day period. Elite 11 Finals will name one MVP and 10 finalists after the three days.

Bourque joins the list of 20 as one of four uncommitted quarterbacks. Four-star Colton Nussmeier, three-star Dane Weber, and three-star Ryan Rakowski are the other three who have yet to commit to a program. The other quarterbacks attending the event are:

  • Elijah Haven (five-star, Alabama)
  • Israel Abrams (four-star, Miami)
  • Will Mencl (four-star, Oregon)
  • Kavian Bryant (four-star, Texas Tech)
  • Jake Nawrot (four-star, Kentucky)
  • Trae Taylor (four-star, Nebraska)
  • Peyton Houston (four-star, LSU)
  • Davin Davidson (four-star, Florida)
  • Kamden Lopati (four-star, Michigan)
  • Keegan Croucher (four-star, Ole Miss)
  • Kharim Hughley (four-star, Clemson)
  • Brady Edmunds (four-star, Ohio State)
  • Trent Seaborn (four-star, Alabama)
  • Braylen Warren (three-star, Missouri)
  • Jameson Purcell (three-star, Indiana)
  • Ty Knutson (three-star, Tennessee)

Bourque decommitted from Michigan earlier in the year and gave Penn State another opportunity after reopening his recruitment. The blue and white currently have a 69.6 percent chance at landing his commitment, according to Rivals.

Bourque has yet to schedule official visits with top schools. So, despite predictions favoring Penn State, the Nittany Lions can't be so sure that the Massachusetts native is leaning towards them.

The Elite 11 Finals will be a crucial moment in his recruitment, putting him on a stage that draws attention from top programs and potentially pulling him away from Happy Valley.
