The Penn State running back duo of Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen have been giving observers at Senior Bowl practices a small glimpse of what they have done to the Big Ten over the past four years.
Both players are using the Senior Bowl as an attempt to work their way higher in the draft and possibly become second-day selections. So far, the returns have been good, and both players are getting a lot of positive momentum heading into Saturday's game in Mobile, Alabama and the upcoming NFL Combine.

The Lawn Boyz' take their show to the Senior Bowl
Allen is coming off of the best season of his career, rushing for 1,303 yards and 15 touchdowns. It's the second straight season Allen has rushed for over 1,000 yards, and he finished his career with 4,180 yards and 39 touchdowns. He is No. 1 all-time in yards and third all-time in touchdowns.
There's a good chance Allen would hold the record in both categories if it wasn't for Singleton, who has 43 career touchdowns, placing him at the top of the list among Nittany Lions. Singleton didn't have his best season statistically, with just 543 yards, but he found the end zone 13 times.
He also said that sharing carries with Allen proved to be beneficial for both players.
Singleton also talked about the benefits of splitting carries, which he did at Penn St.

He totaled 1,648 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns in his last two seasons, as well as 594 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns.

"Sharing carries back at Penn State meant a lot to me. I was with Kaytron, and he was playing his butt off," Singleton said. "So it's good for him getting carries and both of us staying healthy going to the next level. We feel good."
Both players bring a lot to the table. Allen is a tough runner that gets a lot done between the tackles and excels in short-yardage situations. Singleton can also run between the tackles, but he's more of a big-play guy, and he's probably the best pass-catching back in the draft. The team that drafts Singleton will be drawing up ways to get him into space.
This will likely be the last time both players are in a backfield together, so fans should enjoy watching the final college game for these two amazing Nittany Lions.
