Tyler Warren is Penn State’s best offensive player. Not just because he’s an all-time great tight end in program history, but also because he can play just about every position on the offense. He’s played quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and now center. Offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki is really testing the boundaries of Warren’s versatility and the possibilities of play-design.
Kotelnicki came to Penn State from Kansas, known for his creative formations, but the one he broke out against USC for quarterback Drew Allar to connect with Warren for a 32-yard touchdown, is one that almost nobody has ever seen.

Warren motioned to play center with Drew Allar split out wide and Beau Pribula taking the shotgun snap. Pribula, the backup quarterback, tossed backward to Allar, and Allar found Warren in the end zone. It took a tough contested catch from Warren, but needless to say, social media exploded after this ridiculous play call worked to perfection.
That was some awesome “fuck it watch this” play calling by Andy Kotelnicki

Andy Kotelnicki has done some creative stuff this year but that touchdown is No. 1 on the list right now. What a design to make this a seven-point game.

Wow. That Flag Football TD by @PennStateFball may be one of the coolest plays I’ve ever seen drawn up.

And the catch?!!! 10/10. No notes. 👏🏾
Fans don’t just love how creative Kotelnicki has been with his offensive weapons. One of Penn State’s biggest fans and a former quarterback who may have loved to pay for Kotelnicki, is directing his praise to his former teammate.
Tyler Warren not only just took a snap at Center, but then caught a receiving TD on that same play…I’m serious about this whole Heisman thing

Even with an outstanding performance from Warren and a creative game plan from Kotelnicki, No. 4 Penn State is trailing USC 20-13 in the third quarter at the LA Coliseum. Kotelnicki may only have the kitchen sink left, but he’s going to have to throw that at the Trojans too. Penn State has struggled to establish the run game and Allar hasn't had a connection with many weapons other than Warren, so more trick plays could be coming.
