Saquon Barkley is getting his own feature-length documentary, which is slated to premiere on Thursday, Oct. 9, the same day the Philadelphia Eagles face Barkley's former team, the New York Giants. The game will also stream on Prime Video.
"You know the name," Prime Video captioned its teaser for its latest upcoming documentary on Wednesday.
The Amazon Prime Video production, "Saquon," is executive produced by Martin Scorcese and directed by Alex Pappas. It follows the running back's 2024 journey to a Super Bowl championship starting all the way back when Barkley had to part ways with the Giants.
“You’re telling me you want me to be a Giant for life,” Barkley said in the trailer. “I’m telling you I want to be a Giant for life.”
Without receiving a worthwhile contract from New York, Barkley signed with the Eagles on a three-year, $37.75 million deal and received a two-year, $41.2 million extension following the Super Bowl LIX win.
“This has been a five-year journey,” Barkley said. “I’ve been using this as my diary, as my therapy. You get to see the journey it took to get to this point.”
Clips from the teaser show Barkley sitting in front of the camera, giving viewers an insight into each step he took to becoming a champion. Moments on and off the field, from the backwards hurdle to spending time with his fiancée and children. Following the Super Bowl win, Barkley credited his fiancée Anna Congdon in being a crucial part of his off-the-field team.
"When I look at some of the moments — my highs, my lows and my NFL career — one person that's right next to me is my fiancée," Barkley told E! News in July.

In 2024, Barkley became the ninth NFL running back to eclipse 2,000 rushing yards in the regular season (2,005 total). He finished first the league in rushing yards and carries (345), and eighth in rushing touchdowns (13). In the postseason, the former Nittany Lion had 91 carries for 499 yards and five touchdowns, including a 78-yard scoring run against the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round.
The news of his documentary comes one day after Barkley was crowned No. 1 on the NFL Top 100. In 2024, he was No. 86, but after his MVP-level performance during his first season as an Eagle, he escalated to the top spot.
In 2023, former Eagles' center Jason Kelce's documentary, "Kelce," released. Barkley now joins the Philadelphia legend.
"Let's go show the world I'm Saquon Barkley," Barkley said, concluding the trailer.
