What channel is Penn State’s games on this week? How to watch
By Josh Yourish
Following back-to-back losses, the Penn State Nittany Lions enter a busy week of Big Ten play at 9-11 (3-6) with the season on the line against 10-9 (2-6) Rutgers on Wednesday and 13-8 (5-5) Indiana on Saturday. An 0-2 week could send Mike Rhoades’ team into the basement of the conference, but 2-0 would put Penn State back into a good spot for the Big Ten tournament.
Starter Nick Kern Jr. and leading scorer Kanye Clary both left Saturday’s loss to Minnesota with injuries, but there is good news regarding their status approaching the first of this week’s two games.
On Tuesday, Rhoades told reporters that Kern will be available for the matchup against Rutgers, but Clary is still day-to-day. Kern is averaging 8.1 points and 4.3 rebounds per game while Clary is the sixth-leading scorer in the Big Ten at 18.4 points per game. Kern is specifically important on the defensive side of the ball, and he was missed in the second half against Minnesota.
