6. Sean Clifford's game-winning touchdown pass vs. Purdue (2022)
After back-to-back lackluster seasons, Penn State desperately needed to get back on track. The Nittany Lions began the 2022 campaign going into Purdue for a Thursday night game. In a back-and-forth contest, Penn State was down three with one last chance to win. Sean Clifford marched the Nittany Lions down the field and capped it off with a go-ahead touchdown pass to Keyvone Lee. This ended up being the difference maker as Penn State held on to win and set the tone for the 2022 season to be a successful one that ended with a Rose Bowl.
