Ranking every Big Ten point guard for the 2024-25 season: Does Ace Baldwin take the top spot?

With an abundance of new faces in the Big Ten due to the transfer portal and conference realignment, the conference will look as unique as ever, and there is certainly no shortage of star power at the ball handler position.

Disclaimer: USC lacks a true point guard on the roster for next season.

I understand that Slajchert is not a point guard and might not even start on the newly loaded Trojans, but last season he did occasionally handle the ball. Slajchert returns home to Los Angeles for his last year in college basketball, after three seasons for the Penn Quakers. He averaged 18.0 points and 2.9 assists per game last season while shooting a blistering 42.2% from three.

He was a highly sought after recruit in college, but yet again, the top ten Big Ten point guards consist of great players. The jump from the Ivy League to the Big Ten is rather significant, and we will see how Slajchert translates next season.

Desmond Claude could end up being the point guard for Eric Musselman's Trojans next season, and he would be ranked around here too.
