Ranking every Big Ten point guard for the 2024-25 season: Does Ace Baldwin take the top spot?

With an abundance of new faces in the Big Ten due to the transfer portal and conference realignment, the conference will look as unique as ever, and there is certainly no shortage of star power at the ball handler position.

Mitchell transferred from Pepperdine in 2023 to join Minnesota. He started 24 games last season for the Golden Gophers but conceded ball-handling duties to Elijah Hawkins for most of the season. With Hawkins transferring to Texas Tech, this frees up Mitchell to be the team's starting point guard.

He averaged 10.2 points per game last season and shot 39.9% from three. Mitchell is a very good player, but there are too many great Big Ten point guards to rank him much higher than this.
