Maryland nabbed Gillespie in the transfer portal after he spent two seasons at Belmont in the Missouri Valley conference. He averaged 17.2 points and 4.2 assists per game while shooting a preposterous 56.1% from the floor and 38.7% from beyond the arc.

With Jahmir Young no longer having eligibility remaining, the ball will be in Gillespie’s hands next season.
