Penn State potential transfer portal wide receiver targets to replace KeAndre Lambert-Smith
Andy Kotelnicki and Drew Allar need some weapons to make the offense work and it might be up to James Franklin to go into the transfer portal and find them.

Johnson is a very different player than Brown or Ross-Simmons, but that might make him the easiest fit in Penn State’s offense. Right now, Liam Clifford is the best option at slot receiver and Johnson is certainly a big upgrade there.
Last season, 57.4% of his snaps came in the slot yet his average depth of target was 13.4 yards. He’s the rare field stretcher from the slot, though he didn’t showcase elite ability after the catch and forced just one missed tackle last year.
Johnson was limited due to injury and finished with just 19 catches on 27 targets, but has a track record of success in the SEC, which would ease the transition to the loaded Big Ten.
