Through the first two games of the season, without a true No. 1 wide receiver, Penn State quarterback Drew Allar’s favorite target has been his veteran tight end, Tyler Warren. Warren came into No. 10 Penn State’s Week 4 matchup against Kent State at Beaver Stadium with 11 catches for 176 yards and a touchdown, but his first half against the Golden Flashes was even more impressive.

Warren caught the first touchdown of the game, a 16-yard strike from Allar, which came after Warren took a snap as Penn State’s wildcat quarterback and ran for 16 yards. As a receiver, the senior tight end posted five grabs for 50 yards and one touchdown, and as a passer, the former high school quarterback is 1/1 for 17 yards and a score. Warren’s second snap as wildcat QB resulted in the lefty’s first collegiate touchdown throw.

Still, Warren’s most impressive play was made with his right hand, a ridiculous one-handed catch.

Needless to say, Penn State fans were impressed by the team’s most impressive offensive player in the first half of Week 4.

Many took to social media to share their excitement. Warren’s efforts along with a touchdown grab from wide receiver Liam Clifford have helped the Nittany Lions build a 28-0 lead over the Golden Flashes. His brother and Warren’s former quarterback was impressed too.

Fans are ready to hand over some serious hardware for the 6-foot-7 257-pound tight end who could be a top NFL draft prospect after this season.

Tyler Warren might be having the best game of his career in Week 4 against Kent State and it’s far from over.
