On Day 1 of the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, the defensive linemen, edge rushers, and linebackers all measured and tested. That meant Adisa Issac, Curtis Jacobs, and Chop Robinson were all in action. Unsurprisingly, Robinson stole the show.
Robinson ran the second fastest 40-yard dash of the edge rushers with an official 4.48 which was narrowly behind Alabama edge, Dallas Turner’s 4.46. Jacobs clocked a 4.58 and Isaac checked in at 4.74.
Despite measuring in at an underwhelming 6’2.7” and only weighing 354 pounds, Robinson posted a historically great Relative Athletic Score of 9.68. That was 53 out of 1,637 edge rushers from 1987 to 2024 per Kent Lee Platte, the creator of RAS.football.
Chop Robinson is a DE prospect in the 2024 draft class. He scored an unofficial 9.68 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 53 out of 1637 DE from 1987 to 2024.

Jacobs also ran well at the event, but did not do any agility testing, so there isn’t a full picture of his lateral athleticism. Jacobs posted an RAS of 9.17.
Curtis Jacobs is a LB prospect in the 2024 draft class. He scored an unofficial 9.17 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 221 out of 2649 LB from 1987 to 2024.

Of the three Nittany Lions who participated in Day 1 of the combine, Isaac was the most disappointing. He was very slow in his 40-yard dash for a player who is under 250 pounds. However, Isaac did grade well in the explosiveness drills with a 34.5” vertical and a 10’3” broad jump. Though Robinson’s broad jump was 10’8”.
Adisa Isaac is a DE prospect in the 2024 draft class. He scored an unofficial 8.82 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 194 out of 1637 DE from 1987 to 2024.

On Day 2 of the combine, the defensive backs and tight ends will workout and test. For Penn State, that includes Kalen King, Johnny Dixon, Daequan Hardy, and Theo Johnson. In total Penn State has 10 players in attendance at Lucas Oil Stadium with two projected first-round picks. Robinson cemented himself in that group on Thursday, along with Olu Fashanu, who has been considered a first-rounder for two years.
