How to watch Penn State’s Big Ten Tournament first-round matchup against Michigan

Penn State will need to win the Big Ten tournament to qualify for the NCAA Tournament. It'll be difficult for the 11th-seeded Nittany Lions, but they call it March Madness for a reason.

Penn State men’s basketball finished the regular season on a high note in the first season under Mike Rhoades, but unless they make a run to the Big Ten Tournament title in Minneapolis, they’ll be watching the big dance from back home in Happy Valley. The path to a potential automatic bid begins on Wednesday night in the first round of the conference tourney.

While the Nittany Lions won their final game of the conference slate, a late-season loss to Minnesota gave the Golden Gophers the tiebreaker and forced Penn State to play in Round 1 against Michigan, which finished in last place. The Nittany Lions earned the No. 11 seed in the conference tournament and with a win would advance to play sixth-seeded Indiana.

Last year's tournament champ, Purdue, which went 17-3 in conference play this year, is the No. 1 seed once again. Zach Edey and the Boilermakers finally knocked out Shrewsberry's team, which was seeded 10th in the conference, in the championship game.

With their postseason fate on the line, here’s how you can watch, newly crowned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, Ace Baldwin Jr. and the Nittany Lions against Michigan.
