Boo Buie. 2. Senior. 489. . 18.3 ppg 4.9 asts. Boo Buie. Boo Buie. player.

Besides having the most fun name in college basketball, Buie is one of the most fun players. He has Northwestern at 12-4 while averaging 18.3 points in his fifth year in Evanston.

Not only has Buie improved his scoring from 17.3 points a game to 18.3, but he’s done it while taking fewer shots. His shooting splits of 45/35/85 are excellent considering the load he’s forced to carry on the offensive end, and he doesn’t seem to be slowing down against difficult Big Ten opponents.

Buie was at his very best against Purdue in Northwestern’s 92-88 overtime win. He posted a stat line of 31 points, nine assists, four rebounds, two steals, and no turnovers. He shot 50% from the field and went 9/10 from the free-throw line.

In that game, Buie proved the theory that guards win games, besting Braden Smith and Fletcher Loyer in the backcourt battle, and winning in spite of Zach Edey's dominance.
