Trace McSorley never earned Heisman Trophy votes or All-American status, but he was a winner and from 2016-18 with him as the starter, Penn State went 31-9 with its first Big Ten Championship since 1994 in 2016.
McSorley had Penn State on the cusp of the College Football Playoff and finished his career as the all-time leading passer in program history with 9,899 yards, and 77 passing touchdowns, and he tacked on 1,697 yards and 30 more scores on the ground. McSorley is third all-time in rushing touchdowns behind Saquon Barkley and Curtis Enis with one more than 1973 Heisman Trophy winner John Cappelletti.
