No. 1 Penn State wrestling faces Indiana at home on Friday, Jan. 23 and now has quick turnaround after the match to head to Maryland for its next meet.
An already dominant Penn State wrestling roster just added even more depth
Initially, the Nittany Lions and Terrapins were scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 25, giving the blue and white a day in between to rest and travel. Given the anticipated upcoming weather conditions, both teams agreed to move the match up a day to Saturday, Jan. 24.
Saturday's match takes place at 5 p.m. ET and can still be watched on Big Ten+.

Penn State wrestling moves match vs. Maryland up to Saturday due to weather conditions
Maryland's winter storm warning begins Saturday at 11 p.m. and lasts through Monday at 4 a.m. with a cold weather advisory starting 8 p.m. Friday until Saturday morning.
According to Accuweather, College Park may experienced seven to 14 inches of heavy snow and sleet. Ice is also predicted to accumulate. Power outages, tree damage, and hazardous conditions can be anticipated. It also projects "nearly impossible" travel. Visibility can drop to as low as one-quarter of a mile or less.
These conditions will affect Washington D.C., central, northeast, and northern Maryland, and northern Virginia.
State College is also under a winter storm warning. Penn State's warning lasts from 10 p.m. on Saturday through 1 a.m. on Monday with a cold weather advisory starting 6 p.m. on Friday and ending 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Central Pennsylvania is expected to get between 10 and 18 inches of snow during that time, making travel difficult and more than likely prolonged or delayed. Blowing and drifting snow is possible, according to Accuweather.
Due to travel being delayed in both areas, the Nittany Lions were unlikely to travel Saturday into Sunday and back to Penn State if the match remained as scheduled.
The Terrapins hold a losing record at 4-5 overall and winless in the Big Ten. The Nittany Lions are undefeated, 9-0 overall and 3-0 in the conference. They seek their fourth Big Ten win and tenth on the season against Indiana on Friday.
The Hoosiers defeated Maryland on Sunday, Jan. 18, 26-12. Penn State is in a good position to come out of the weekend and snowstorm with two more victories on the 2025-26 season.
