Wide receiver Tyseer Denmark entered the Transfer Portal on Jan. 6. On Jan. 15, he officially found his new home and kept opted for familiarity.
Penn State fans will get a laugh out of James Franklin's first schedule move at VT
Before making his move into the portal, Denmark posted on social media stating that he planned on staying with the Nittany Lions: "they lost count tryna count me out, lets do it nittany nation #weback #weare"
He deleted that post then proceeded to enter the portal and eventually come out of it a Virginia Tech Hokie.

Wide receiver Tyseer Denmark transfers to Virginia Tech, following James Franklin
The Philadelphia, Penn. native was a three-star wideout from the Class of 2024. He was ranked 530th overall from his class, 76th among wide receivers, and 12th out of recruits from Pennsylvania.
Over his two-season career at Penn State, Denmark played in 12 games, logging four receptions for 45 yards and one touchdowns. He also had two carries for eight yards. He wasn't an offensive spark for the Nittany Lions, weakening the blow of his ultimate decision to leave Penn State.
Denmark is the fifth wide receiver transferring out of the program. Matthew Outten committed to Syracuse, Jeff Exinor also followed Virginia Tech head coach James Franklin, and Kaden Saunders committed to Southern Mississippi. Josiah Brown and Anthony Ivey are still in the Transfer Portal, but have yet to find their new home.
In their places, head coach Matt Campbell brought in Iowa State wide receivers Brett Eskildsen, Karon Brookins, Chase Sowell, and Zay Robinson. Grambling State wideout Keith Jones also transferred to the Nittany Lions. He was the most recent addition, committing on Jan. 12.
Denmark marks Franklin's 12th addition to the Hokies roster from the Nittany Lions. Quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer, cornerback Kenny Woseley, defensive lineman Randy Adirika, tight end Luke Reynolds, edge rusher Cortez Harris, edge rusher Mylachi Williams, interior offensive lineman Michael Troutman, linebacker Keon Wylie, edge rusher Daniel Jennings, and tight end Matt Henderson are the other former Penn State players who decided to follow Franklin to Virginia Tech.
