Penn State football plays No. 2 Indiana at noon on Saturday, Nov. 8 at Beaver Stadium. It is interim head coach Terry Smith's debut leading the charge at Happy Valley following former head coach James Franklin's firing, as well as quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer's first collegiate start at home.

Ahead of them is another undefeated opponent, the Hoosiers (9-0, 6-0 Big Ten) who also rank first in the Big Ten. They beat Maryland 55-10 in Week 10 while the Nittany Lions (3-5, 0-5 Big Ten) fell to No. 1 Ohio State. Aside from other in-conference teams with losing records, Indiana defeated Iowa and No. 6 Oregon, two schools that came out victorious in their battles against Penn State.

With all things Penn State looking through the rest of the 2025 season and anticipating the rebuild to come in 2026, Week 11 is more than likely to be another loss on the Nittany Lions' record.

Here are our team's predictions for how Saturday's Nittany Lions v. Hoosiers contest plays out:

Sydney Ciano - Penn State 17, Indiana 31

Penn State faces another top offense and defense in the country after only putting up two scores against Ohio State in the second quarter exclusively. The Nittany Lions just don't have enough stamina to play a full 60 minutes no matter how bright some spots of their game is on Saturday.

A five-game losing streak is difficult to overcome when there's not one part of the team, from roster to staff, that's completely and utterly stable. Especially against a team that's riding high, Penn State will trail early in the game and play catch-up until the final second. Just like the Buckeyes, the Hoosiers will have a good lead early on. Another mid-game surge will offer some hope for the Nittany Lions, at least on the sidelines and in the locker room, but even with a touchdown or two, winning the game is a lost cause.

The at-home advantage will keep the score closer than it was in Week 10 against Ohio State. Smith and his team won't disintegrate immediately. However, Indiana is going to walk all over Beaver Stadium with ease and head back still undefeated. Penn State just doesn't have enough fuel to make it through this storm victorious.
