Three-star, Class of 2027 interior offensive lineman Owen Reilly commits to Penn State
His commitment comes two days after an unofficial spring practice visit, which have overall been very helpful for head coach Matt Campbell when recruiting. The only other school Reilly visited was West Virginia for their Junior Day on Jan. 31. He did not take unofficial visits elsewhere, according to 247Sports' logs.
Other schools that offered Reilly were Maryland, Oregon, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, and Pittsburgh. He received a total of 19 offers over his recruitment thus far.
However, once Reilly sat down and watched college football when his recruitment started and the Nittany Lions extended an offer, he had his sights set on the blue and white.
"The first major program to reach out was Penn State," Reilly told Brian Dohn of Lions247. Since then, Penn State has been my dream school. I really like them."
Reilly played at left tackle the most during his junior season at Bel Air High School, though he also got some reps in on defense. He's a three-sport athlete, participating in track and field as well as wrestling.
Reilly joins a Penn State 2027 recruitment class that's ranked 16th overall in the country, per 247Sports.
Wide receiver Landon Blum and tight end Cooper Terwilliger are the other two offensive players currently committed. Both are four-star prospects. Defensive lineman Carter Blattner, linebacker Blake Betton, and cornerbacks Ka'ron Ceasar, Zachary Gleason Jr., and Semajay Robinson are the other recruits in the class, all of which are three-stars.
